8vo (229 x 146 mm). Original printed wrapers (old folds, some spotting and toning, penciled notation, adhesive residue at rear, which aligns with an additional 2pp. executive order dated 2 February 1864, which is laid in).
THE EBERSTADT COPY OF LINCOLN'S EXECUTIVE ORDER.
The Executive Order issued on 26 January 1864 approved additional trade regulations relating to the purchase of products from Confederate states and was a modification on a previous order issued on 11 September of the previous year. This modification was prompted by the admission of West Virginia into the Union.
