Contemporary half maroon morocco gilt, marbled boards, marbled edges (light wear). Gimbel E21. -- Our Mutual Friend. London: Chapman and Hall, 1865. 2 volumes in one. Later half green morocco gilt, stamp-signed by Zaehnsdorf. First edition in book form. Smith pp.107-110. -- The Mystery of Edwin Drood. London: Chapman and Hall, 1870 [but ads dated 1872]. Engraved frontispiece portrait, additional illustrated title-page and 12 engraved plates. Original publisher's green cloth gilt (worn). First Edition in book form, second issue, second binding, (Smith p.114 stating the second issue ads are dated 1872).
