signed and dated, "David L. Swasey '53", u.r., oil on canvas, framed, accompanied by note inscribed in pencil, "Portrait of David Stockwell/ Painted by David Swazey [sic], a classmate of Vida S. Van Lenneys, at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, as told by Vida, January 2008./ David Swazey [sic] became a famous portrait painter in New York."
