Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Circa 1765-1775
comprising a pair with carved shell to crest-rail and apron and solid shaped splats; a single chair with fluted stiles and carved shell, rope and tassel to crest-rail, and with carved shell to apron, pierced splat, and acanthus-carved knees; and a single chair with carved shell to crest-rail and solid splat; all chairs with slip seats, on cabriole legs ending in ball-and-claw feet.
Height 41 1/2 x width 23 1/2 x depth 22 1/2 inches (tallest).
