Meiji Period
The octagonal koro (incense burner) is exquisitely decorated: with three panels painted with figural scenes, the fourth with flowering prunus branches, each panel separated by delicate reticulation. The shoulder and cover are finely embellished with gilding and painted details, and the underside bears the maker's mark.
