Circa 1870
the first with pharaoh's head terminal above openwork brackets, bowl chased with palmettes, by Wood & Hughes; marked '900/1000'; the second with partly square handle, winged serpent topping the bowl, by Gorham, with retailer's mark of J. R. Reed and Co. of Pittsburgh; marked 'Sterling'.
