A Pair of French Scenic Wallpaper Three-Panel Screens, Grande Chasse au Tigre dans l'Inde (The Tiger Hunt)
Attributed to The Velay Manufactory, Paris, Circa 1818
hand-blocked paper painted with gouache, mounted on wood panels; depicting a panoramic Orientalist scene, the reverse of each panel painted turquoise with a gold border; the design is also known as Paysage Indien, Chasse au Tigre, Chasse Indienne or Vues de l'Inde.
Each panel, height 84 x width 17 3/4 inches.
