**Union Switch & Signal 1911A1 Arsenal Refurbished Pistol
.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: 1050442. Parkerized arsenal refinish with checkered Keyes fiber grips mounting standard military pattern sights. Short recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. Left slide shows the USS monogram followed by two-line legend reading U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A. Right frame struck UNITED STATES PROPERTY followed by M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY. Left frame shows the circled R.C.D. mark of inspector Robert C. Downie. Right frame additionally struck with an RIA arsenal stamp below the model mark, and FK initials of Frank Krack below the serial number, these two marks indicating the pistol was rearsenaled in Rock Island after the end of World War II. {Ordnance Bomb} to right frame behind trigger. P to the top of the slide and M to left slide behind cocking serrations. Interior of the left panel shows the K within Star logo of the Keyes company. Barrel is struck P on the left lug and HS on the right, indicating it was made by High Standard. Comes with an unmarked full blued magazine. {C&R}
