Remington Lee US Model 1882 Army Rifle
Indian Wars
.45-70. 32.5" barrel secured by two rounded spring-retained barrel bands. SN: 9403. Blued finish, iron furniture, walnut stock. Magazine fed bolt action military rifle with incorrect M1884 Buffington rear sight, Barleycorn combination front sight and socket bayonet lug, sling and stacking swivel on upper band, missing the lower swivel. Top edge of receiver with two-line Lee Arms Company markings and reverse of receiver with E. Remington & Sons markings. Breech with US/VP and D.F.C. inspection marks. A weak block D.F.C. inspection is in the wood behind the triggerguard along with a weak {Circle-P} proof. Includes a cleaning rod and a single magazine. {ANTIQUE}
