A wonderful pair of quarter-plate ambrotypes both marked on the reverse "Appleton & CO., Photographic Artists, Bottom of Horton-Lane, Bradford; Park Road, Halifax; The Sands, Redcar."
 
In one image we see the little girl on the floor with her sun hat on the floor and her hand on a camera while her dog lays nearby. The second image shows the girl sitting on the floor with her hand on the dog. Both images are in full morocco cases.
