comprising a carved marble and gilt-metal mounted inkwell, the lid inset with carved portraits of classical figures; together with a plaque titled Ricordo del Vesuvio featuring eight carved portraits and signed on reverse 'Viuello Vincenzo/ Fece 1883'.
