[EXONUMIA] A Collection of Commemorative Medallions Relating to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
comprising:
1) A bronze example by Pierre Simon Benjamin Duvivier (1728-1819) with a portrait bust of Louis XVI on obverse, the reverse with an inscription from the National Assembly in 1792 to a Mr. J.B. Réveillon explaining that the medal is replacing a different example that was looted from his residence in 1789 (176.9 g, 74mm).
2) A bronze example by Pierre Simon Benjamin Duvivier (1728-1819) with a portrait bust of Louis XVI on obverse, the reverse with a commemorative scene of the Pont de Louis XVI and dated MDCCLXXXVIII (83.6 g, 57mm).
3) A bronze example by Pierre Simon Benjamin Duvivier (1728-1819) with a portrait bust of Louis XVI on obverse, the reverse with a commemorative scene of Louis XVI and family returning to Paris underneath the inscription 'J' Y Ferai Desormais Ma Demeure Habituelle' (60.2 g, 58mm).
4) A bronze example by Pierre Simon Benjamin Duvivier (1728-1819) with a portrait bust of Louix XVI on obverse, the reverse with a commemorative scene of the establishment of the city hall of Paris and dated 1789 (77.0 g, 58mm).
5) A gilt-bronze example by Pierre Simon Benjamin Duvivier (1728-1819) and Nicholas-Marie Gatteaux (1751-1832) with a portrait bust of Louis XVI by Duvivier on obverse, the reverse with a commemerative scene by Gatteaux showing Louis XVI abandoning all privileges infront of the National Assembly (117.9 g, 65mm).
6) A bronze example by Pierre-Joseph Lorthior (1756-1805) with a portrait bust of Louis XVI on obverse, the reverse with a presentation inscription from the Raffineurs de Bordeaux and dated 1786 (38.9 g, 46mm).
