Lot Description
SULLIVAN, JOHN H. Broncho John. Life and Adventures of a Cowboy. Philadelphia, PA: Morrell Brothers, Show Printers.
16mo (4 3/8 x 6 3/4 in.), 32pp. Illustrated wrappers (some staining and wear).
This represents the earliest of three similar publications by this author, the others being subtitled "His First Trip Up the Trail" and "His Second Trip Up the Trail." Includes 5 woodcut illustrations and an introduction by J. H. Sullivan, in part: "I put this little work before the public in order to help to exonerate the many wrong statements concerning my class, and trust that it will meet with success. I am writing a large book of my experience, and it will be a true history of the Cowboys' past life on the plains...I hope that this book will be the means of guiding you safe to happy homes beyond the Rockies."
