[CAMERAS]. Replica Talbotype camera by Robert Lisle, 1985.
Replica Talbotype camera handcrafted in wood with a brass lens and hole and cork for focusing. Underside signed, "R.W. Lisle, 1985." Size 5 1/2 in. wide x 5 1/2 in. tall x 5 1/4 in. deep (not including lens). With copy prints and book entitled Fox Talbot: An illustrated souvenir.
A modern example of the ca 1836-1840s camera used by British pioneer of photography, William Henry Fox Talbot (1800-1877) to take calotype photographs that illustrated the first photographic book entitled The Pencil of Nature.
