A Set of Six Sterling Silver and Mixed Metal "Japonesque" Fruit Knives
Gorham Mfg. Co., Providence, Rhode Island, Circa 1880
each distinctly decorated, the blades engraved with bamboo, prunus, and other foliage, and bearing monogram, "B", the handles composed of patinated and parcel-gilt metal, cast and chased with various imagery including birds amidst bamboo, cranes in flight, turtles in an aquatic environment, a samurai, and a monk in rocky outcropping, all marked.
