A Federal Cherry Tall Case Clock
George Ford, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Dated, "1814"
the hood with broken arch pediment with volute terminals, surmounted by three turned finials, the enamel face inscribed, "George Ford", with rosettes to spandrels and moon face dial, the case with rectangular crossbanded door, canted and reeded corners, on crossbanded and bookmatched base with shaped apron and French feet, the case interior with old chalk inscription, "Lancaster County 1814".
Height 100 3/4 x width 20 3/4 x depth 10 1/4 inches.
