A Dog's Tale was first published in the December 1903 issue of Harper's Magazine and was later extracted and published in pamphlet form by London's National Anti-Vivisection Society. This organization campaigned to end animal testing. It was followed at the end of 1904 by an expanded edition published by Harper & Brothers. BAL 3483.
