From Travels in the Interior of North America, Coblenz, Paris, and London, 1839-1842. Aquatint engraving with hand-coloring by Legrand after Bodmer, Bodmer blindstamp lower margin, title in French, German and English, 622 x 451 mm, light spotting, few short closed tears near lower margin.

There are two distinct states of this image: one with three small figures in the mid-ground to the right of the main figure (as seen here), and a second where these figures have been removed.
