[CIVIL WAR]. Large group of postwar views of the Gettysburg battlefield by C. J. TYSON's, Excelsior Galleries, Gettysburg, PA.

22 stereoviews on pink/salmon mounts, all bearing Tyson's, or his successors Tipton & Myers', Excelsior Galleries paper labels with image captions affixed to versos identifying them as part of Tysons's "Battle-field of Gettysburg" series. Scenes include: Glen on Plum Run—Near the base of Round Top. -- Rock Creek. -- Little Round Top and Big Round Top. North-west view. Union Position. -- Chambersburg street, from the east corner of the Diamond, showing the Cupola of the College Church, occupied as a hospital after the battle. -- Little Round Top. Swamp and breastworks in foreground. -- Natural granite breastwork near 'Devil's Den,' occupied by Rebel sharpshooters. Near Round Top. -- View in Ever-green Cemetery, showing a portion of the Gate-way. -- Soldiers' Orphans' Home, occupied during the battle as the Headquarters of Gen. O. O.
