Two Japanese Enameled Satsuma-Type Cabinet Vases, Kinkozan Workshop, Meiji to Taisho period
Meiji to Taisho period

Both ovoid, the larger with four lobed lip, decorated with a pheasant in a flowering landscape, enameled workshop mark to underside; the smaller finely decorated with two reserves against a gilt-flowered cobalt blue ground, One depicting a celebration at an Inari (Fox) shrine, the other depicting travelers in an extensive dramatic landscape, underside with impressed workshop mark.
Heights 5 5/8 in., 14.3 cm.; 3 3/8 in., 8.5 cm.
