The elegant white jade ring is finely carved with a poetic inscription celebrating sunflowers:
"向日似矜傾國貌，倚風如唱步虛詞"
("Facing the sun, they boast peerless beauty;
Swaying in the wind, they chant ethereal verses.") Accompanied by a carved sunflower scene on the other side.
