Lot Description

A Pair of Chinese Doucai 'Medallion' Porcelain Bowls, Daoguang Mark and Period
清道光 斗彩團花紋馬蹄盌一對
Daoguang Mark and Period (1820-1850)

Each is finely potted with the upright sides flaring gently towards the rim, decorated in pastel enamels on the exterior with five roundels formed from the leaves sprouting from the central branching stem, divided by pairs of peach sprigs above and below, a stylized lappet band around the foot, the countersunk base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark and of the period.
Diameter 6 1/16 x Height 3 7/8 in. (including base) each, 15.4 x 9.8 cm.
