A Japanese Pierced Silver and Enamel Vase, Early 20th Century
Early 20th Century
The ovoid body rising to an elongated neck flanked by a pair of curved handles, topped with a flared mouth, the main panel decorated with pieced ho-oh birds amongst foliate scrolls and enameled with red, purple, blue and green champlevé, divided by floral blossoms in similar enamels repeated on the neck, the underside bearing a two-character marker's mark on a gilt highlighted panel.
