A Chinese Black Lacquered Wood Wine Table, Jiuzhuo, 17th Century
明末清初 黑漆木酒桌
明末清初 黑漆木酒桌
17th Century
The table consists of a rectangular top with a floating panel set in a wide frame molding downward and inward. Resting on a beaded cusped apron extending to rectangular sectioned legs, terminating in feet each shaped in the form of an imperial sword, further secured by two sets of rectangular stretchers between the legs, covered overall in a black lacquer.
