Late 19th-Early 20th Century
The screen is embroidered with animals, including a qilin, fu lions, a tiger, and numerous deer, all amongst trees, flowering plants, rocks, and cloud clusters. The hardwood frame decorated with mother-of-pearl inlaid figures and foliate scrolls, the stand supported on square-sectioned legs flanked by shaped spandrels, carved to the front in relief with additional animal figures in an outdoor setting, borders with further mother-of-pearl inlaid auspicious objects.
