Lausanne: Andre et Pierre Gonin, (1958). First and limited edition, #45/130 numbered copies signed by Rene de Solier, illustrator Germaine Richier, and publisher Andre Gonin (from a total of 155). Folio. Illustrated with 10 full-page etched plates with aquatint and drypoint and 14 smaller (generally half-page) etched plates with aquatint and drypoint, by Richier; all with tissue guards. Text and plates loose as issued in original stiff printed paper wrappers; in original quarter vellum over grey linen-covered board chemise, lettered along spine in brown; in original matching vellum-entry slip case.
A fine copy.
Germaine Richier (1902-59), was a French sculptor best known for her large bronze sculptures inspired by classical mythology.
