Lot Description
[Travel & Exploration] Earhart, Amelia. The Fun of It
New York: Brewer, Warren & Putnam, 1932. Second Printing. Signed by Earhart on front free endpaper. 8vo. Original brown cloth, sunning to spine, one-inch vertical tear at head of spine.
Signed by Earhart, and with original 78 rpm Silvertone phonograph recording of her London address given upon completing her 1932 solo transatlantic flight. The Fun of It profiles the careers of female aviators and recounts significant events of Earhart's own. The title is derived from one of Earhart's best-known quotes, "Flying may not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price."
