London: Printed for J. Jenkins, by L. Harrison, (1817). First edition. Large 4to. With letter-press text, on J. Whatman watermark, dated 1812 or 1816. Illustrated with a hand-colored aquatint frontispiece, uncolored etched vignette title-page, 54 hand-colored aquatint plates with etching, and one uncolored etched plate, by T. Sutherland and others, after T. Whitcombe (on J. Whatman Turkey Mills watermark). Full contemporary straight-grain crimson morocco, decorated in blind and in gilt, joints and extremities rubbed and worn, boards and spine darkened and soiled, some scuffing to front and rear boards; all edges trimmed; hinges sometime reinforced; light thumb soiling to text and plate margins.
