each worked with chased and repouseé floral and voliate decoration to neck, body and feet, the bodies with the engraved presentation inscription "Presented to/ David Banks Esq./ By The Citizens of the 3rd and 5th Wards of/ the City of New York/ In token of respect for his successful/ efforts in the promotion of the health,/ morals, and appearance of not only/ that portion, but of the City generally/ by widening and otherwise improving/ Chapel Street/ from Murray to Franklin St./ N. York July 21st/1936'.
