Possibly Irish, Circa 1740
the top rail carved with cockle shell and foliate motifs, the stiles ending in acanthus carved scrolled ears above a pierced splat . The trapezoidal slip seat upholstered in yellow damask, raised on cabriole front legs ending in claw and ball feet. Height 37 ½ x width 22 x depth 22 inches.
