The underside of the oil-lamp shaped lid stamped 'wBj' in a shield for Walter and John Barnard and marks for London, 1878; the underside of the base stamped with 'FE' in a dual circle cartouche, probably for Frederick Elkington, further marks for London, 1878 and pattern number '647'
