[FAUTRIER, Jean and Jean Paulhan]
Fautrier L'enragé. Paris: Librairie Auguste Blaizot, 1949
First edition, limited to 204 copies, of which this is number 170, from a total edition of 250 examples, with reproductions of Fautrier's work in-texte and horstexte. Reproductions printed by Mourlot. 64 pages. Frontispiece etching on Tonkin with soft crease. Folio. Sheets and plates loose in paper portfolio and board chemise, inside cloth-covered board slipcase. Slipcase with lot number 1101O tag from the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Addendum sale April 23-26, 1996. With twenty-four illustrations in the text, comprising seventeen multi-color etchings, two etchings in black, one by xylography, two heliogravures and two by zingography; and four of five varnished lithographic plates. The varnished lithographs are large plates, at approximately 19 1/2 x 15 inches.
