Hugh William Williams (1773-1829) was a Scottish landscape painter, who made an extended tour of Italy and Greece beginning in 1816, alongside his patron and friend, William Douglas of Orchardton. Upon his return in 1818 he executed a series of popular watercolors and published accounts based on his travels, earning him the moniker "Grecian Williams."
