(Marginal toning as usual, half-title and title-page brittle with chipping, contents leaf and following leaf loose). Modern calf; original rear wrapper bound in at end. Wallace B11.

Contains Williams' "A Point for American Criticism" (pp.171-191). Also includes Joyce's "first apologia for Finnegans Wake" (Ellmann, 626), Samuel Beckett's important essay "Dante... Bruno. Vico.. Joyce," (Federman & Fletcher 1), and a passage from Work in Progress not incorporated into the final text of Finnegans Wake.
