[NATIVE AMERICANS]. HILLERS, John K., photog. Boudoir card of a Hopi weaver. Walpi, AZ, 1879.
4 1/4 x 7 3/4 in. photograph on slightly larger cardstock mount featuring a Hopi man engaged in weaving (toning, soiling, some wear to print; soiling and wear to mount). The image is taken from behind the man, showing his back and the entirety of his weaving project. Published in Fowler's The Western Photographs of John K. Hillers as Image No. 81 (p 113). Verso bears printed paper label with information about "The Pueblo Indians" along with modern pencil inscriptions.
