Lot Description

[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. PECK, H. S., photographer. Large format portrait of women. New Haven, CT, n.d.

7 1/4 x 5 1/4 in. (sight), matted and framed to 15 x 13 in., oval albumen portrait of a group of 9 adult women standing and seated in a studio. One woman holds a book upright on a round table placed at the center of the group. Credited in print just outside of gilt edge. (Image not examined out of the frame; frame with some damage, back with losses and some separation).

[With:] 6 3/4 x 9 3/4 in. (sight), crudely/loosely framed to 7 1/2 x 10 1/2 in., tintype portrait of a young man with gold-highlighted watch chain and ring. His bowtie is tinted blue. -- 4 1/2 6 1/2 in. (sight), matted and framed to 12 1/2 x 15 in., vignetted tintype portrait of a young woman wearing a lace collar and curled locks. -- Together, 2 framed tintypes. Conditions of images and frames vary.
