Madison and Monroe Produced by John Doggett, Boston, Massachusetts, and Lafayette Engraved by Amédée Félix Barthélémy Geille (French, 1802-1843), Published by Charles Chardon (1836-1896), Paris, France, Circa 1845

comprising an engraving of Lafayette, circa 1845, bearing accession number, "88.24", verso, matted and framed; and an engraving of James Madison and James Monroe, "From the Original Series painted by Stuart for the Messrs Doggett of Boston," circa 1822, bearing red-painted accession numbers, "64.11" and "64.12", reverse glass painted mat, framed.
