A Reproduction Silver-Plated Inkstand and a Pair of Reproduction Sterling Silver Candlesticks
Candlesticks by Wolfgang Schroth (1944-2020), Late 20th Century
comprising a silver-plated inkstand after the 1752 original by Philip Syng, Jr. (1703-1789), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which was used during the signing of Declaration of Independence in 1776, bearing accession number, "77.31"; and a pair of sterling silver candlesticks after the originals used at the Treaty of Paris in 1783, engraved to bases, "Used at the Seating of the Treaty of Peace between the U.S. and G.B. 3d Sep. 1783 presented by Ann Jay to Sarah Dawson," marked to underside, bearing accession number, "70.82."
