A Group of Three Federal and Classical Silver Sugar Tongs
Various Southern Makers, Dates Ranging 1800-1840

comprising a Federal sugar tongs by George Aiken (1765-1832), Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1800, with acorn-form bowls, engraved with bright-cut decoration and monogram, "ARW", and later engraved, "Margaret Dallas Chipman/ Dec. 25-1900," marked; a sugar tongs by Thomas T. Wilmot (c. 1804-1850), Savannah, Georgia, circa 1840s; and a sugar tongs by Calvin Guiteau (1805-1846), Watertown, New York or Nashville, Tennessee, circa 1836, engraved with monogram, "CEG," marked.
