A 1998 New York Yankees World Series Champion Pendant
Gifted by Owner George Steinbrenner to His Sister, Susan Norpell
Celebrated for its balance, depth, professionalism, and dominance, the 1998 New York Yankees are regarded as one of the greatest teams to have ever taken the field. The Bronx Bombers claimed the first of three consecutive World Championships this season as they sailed to a mind-boggling 125-50 overall record. To honor this remarkable season, "The Boss", George Steinbrenner, presented this marvelous pendant to his sister Susan Norpell.
The Balfour pendant features 0.85 carat weight diamonds and are featured within and surrounding the iconic New York Yankees logo. Gold raised letters "World Champions 1998" are also displayed on the front while the back features an appropriate Balfour maker stamping and is engraved to "Sue".
A remarkable keepsake from one of the dominant teams in the storied history of the Yankees franchise.
