the first with a prayer and inscribed 'Miss Mary Ann Wells / Sampler marked July 18 / in the 9th year of her age,' and the second inscribed 'Georgiana A Pindell is my name / Baltimore is my station / Heaven is my dwelling place / and Christ is my salvation / Completed on the 7th June AD 1838'
