the chest with painted inscription 'VENTIS SECUNDIS/ VICTORIA REGINA BRITANNIA' to the front and further inscribed 'Richard Saye/ Midshipman/ H.M.S. Farley/ Royal Navy / Plymouth/ 1886-9' to each side.
