A Rare "Rigid Notation" Musical Clock Base
François Nicole, Circa 1825
with 7 x 2 inch cylinder, playing 8 airs on four revolutions, the cylinder with grid pattern markings the two-piece comb stamped 'F. Nicole' twice with two extra bass teeth screwed sideways into the main section, in an ebonized wood case with ormolu fittings on bun feet, with later glass top.
