剔紅云龍紋賞瓶
the metal core of baluster form, rising from a straight foot over a recessed base, with a globular body narrowing to a short neck with a slightly flaring mouth rim, covered in dense layers of red lacquer, carved deeply in relief to show nine dragons twisting in pursuit of flaming pearls against a ground of tumultuous waves, the mouth and foot bordered in keyfret bands, the foot with a further band of lotus petals beneath craggy peaks.
