Lot Description

An Assembled Group Of Fourteen Silver Spoons
Mostly Elias Pelletreau (1726-1810), Sr., and Elias Pelletreau, Jr. (1757-1831), Southampton, New York, Circa 1750-1805

comprising seven spoons of Hanoverian mid-rib form, circa 1750, with drops at bowl backs, including six tablespoons (including one pair), each bearing different monogram, "R/ Z*S" (pair), "B/ T*M", "M*H", "I/ W*M", and "F/ D*T", and a single teaspoon, bearing monogram, "C/ I*A", all marked; and six spoons with coffin or pointed ends and drops at bowl backs, circa 1795-1805, including four tablespoons (including one pair), each bearing monogram, "W/ E*H" (pair), "H/ D*E", "J/ S*B", and two teaspoons, bearing monogram, "MPH" and "H/ M*P", respectively, all marked; together with a single teaspoon by maker "ER" (determined to likely not be Elias Pelletreau), engraved with "8" and monogram, "AR," marked.
