Tall 8vo. Engraved frontispiece, engraved vignette title-page, and 41 engraved plates by Robert Seymour and Hablot Knight Browne ("Phiz"). (Scattered repairs, spotting and soiling throughout.) Original dark purple cloth-covered boards, stamped in blind and in gilt (spine faded, scattered light soiling, faint remnants of removed label in upper spine, short split in upper front hinge); conservator's note laid in; in fall-down-back box.

FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, later issue. Smith I, 3. Sold with all faults and not subject to return.
