Engraved frontispiece, engraved vignette title-page, and 41 engraved plates by Robert Seymour, Robert William Buss, and Hablot Knight Browne ("Phiz"), EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED WITH 41 ENGRAVED PLATES, comprised of variant states of most images. (Plates variously toned, with scattered spotting and edge-wear to same.) Full brown goatskin, stamped in gilt; all edges trimmed; stamp-signed by Sangorski & Sutcliffe; in brown cloth-covered slip case. Provenance: Kenyon Starling (bookplate); William E. Self (bookplate).
