16mo. Lined pages not filled in. Portrait frontispiece of Charlotte Bronte. Padded blue leather, stamped in gilt, all edges gilt (extremities lightly worn). Provenance: contemporary gift inscription mounted to front free endpaper, "to S.H. Quinney, with every good wish and fondest love from Ada 1902."
A VERY SCARCE BRONTE RELATED PUBLICATION. Biographer John A. Symington lists this title with a different imprint dated 1899 (p.155), and the British Museum Catalogue of Printed Books lists one published in red pictorial cloth dated 1900. This copy is possibly an unrecorded variant.
