8vo. Original pictorial teal blue cloth stamped in white, black, brown, and gilt (front joint and hinge repaired). Provenance: Percival Lowell (1855-1916), American author and astronomer (bookplate).

FIRST EDITION. An early tale of space travel, previously owned by astronomer Percival Lowell, whose theories about a ninth planet and Martian canals helped ignite public fascination with space.
