8vo. Illustrated with photographs after Alexandra Lawrence. Original olive green cloth; dust jacket (price-clipped).
FIRST EDITION, LIMITED ISSUE, number 73 of 100 copies specially bound, SIGNED BY GINSBERG. Ankor Wat was written during Ginsberg's five-day stay in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in June 1963. Ginsberg would later say that he wrote the poem in a single night while under the influence of morphine.
[With]: GINSBERG. Autograph postcard signed ("Allen") to poet David Posner, postmarked 31 January 1961. In full: "Yes send insurance evaluation with some instructions how they are used in taxes if they are used, tho I only made $2 grand last year and won't have much taxes anywho but the less the better. No Cuba."
